Enjoy the Wonderful Weather Before Migration South Starts!!

Well everyone, it sure was a brisk out this morning! But the dogs love this weather!! Especially the Northern Breeds!! Everyone should be out stretching their legs, getting a good constitutional and giving your four legged furry friends a great hike!

Need to shed a few pounds while Fido sheds his coat? I sure do. With Tia's exercise limited to walks around the block, I must admit I have packed on quite a few extra pounds, which now I have to carry around till I walk it all off!! Walking is healthy and a great bonding exercise for both you and your dogs.

Now is the perfect time to visit your local parks, not just the dog park where the only exercises are done by Fido. The trees and shrubs are like a painters palate, so vibrant with hues of yellows, reds, oranges, amazing shades of browns while the leaves are starting to crunch beneath our feet! It is almost heavenly!!

If your pups are anything like Tia, they will literally be bouncing off the trees trying to catch the leaves. She is a tad slower now (with age) but in her prime she could do a flip while trying to catch the leaves mid-air as they drifted down, waiting for a breeze to send them dancing across the meadow.

The family had a blast raking the leaves into a huge pile then the grandchildren and Tia would dive into them and get lost! It's not hard for a 15 lb. dog, or a young child to get lost in a huge pile of leaves, but a truly hysterical sight as Tia would come bounding out of the leaves like a jack-in-the-box! My granddaughter following!!

Have Fun, and Enjoy Your Dog....Oh! That's the name of a fabulous dog trainer in Royersford!

Fun at the Farm / Cushings Syndrome

Alley & Joey Horsing Around!
Alley, my granddaughter and Joey, my Morgan, are enjoying an afternoon of fun in the arena! We really enjoy our time at the barn. He is a very old fellow, in his mid to late 20's, and was diagnosed with early stages of Cushings Syndrome. Our vet recommended using a natural treatment, Chaste Tree Berry Powder, as well as regulating the sugar and starch intake and maintaining a healthy weight. This supplement nutritionally supports the normal functioning of the pituitary gland rather than destroying the adrenal glands like prescribed medications can do. He is on his second order (5lb online for approx $40.) and has begun to loose the cresty look and excessive fatty areas around his body. Along with a good diet, and consistent exercise we are extremely happy with his condition now.

We look forward to Joey and Alley enjoying each other for many years to come!! We are so blessed to have a vet interested in a natural solution!
